Banana Shatter

A very successful technique for removing THC from flowers with a high THC content is banana shatter. Butane hash oil, or BHO, is made according to precise specifications using a process called solvent extraction to obtain a pure end product. To extract the terpene-rich, sticky liquid with a pungent herbal aroma, the flowers are mixed with a solvent (butane is the most common) and then filtered and evaporated. The pure oil known as “shatter itself,” which is often stable at stable temperatures, is then left behind after the sticky, resinous residue has been purged. The BHO is the result of this. The BHO has a very high THC level because, when the plant’s substance is completely extracted from the flowers, only the “high” THC component of the plant is left.
